It's rare that we get a weekend like this in February. (Insert global warming plug here)
The girls wanted cucumbers which they took out to the deck while I was making lunch. I assumed they wanted a snack but 2 minutes later when I followed them out I found this.
Grace and I then decided to spruce up our sidewalk. These warm winter days really get us excited for summer.

Lots going on this month. We're busy putting the house back together now that the floors are done and have cured long enough to have furniture placed back on them! Slowly bringing items back up from the basement to reclaim their homes.
Amidst all the craziness we found time for a fun adult night out with neighbors. A suburban pub crawl that gave us a chance to spend a few hours away and enjoy our neighbors who are fantastic. I think there were about 6 couples in all.
The afternoon following the pub crawl I left for the week for a work trip in Europe split between London and Frankfurt. Being away is never easy, but it's certainly easier to come to terms with after what wound up being an extremely productive visit. Plus some souvenirs for the girls and T are always fun to bring home!
C celebrated her 100 day of school. Each student had to decorate a poster board with 100 items. She drew 100 faces and we helped her to arrange in the shape of "100". First school project. Done.

It's tradition now. 6 years running.
Each year for Valentines Day rather than getting a sitter, going out to fight the crowds and be hurried through a meal we celebrate love at home. With those that we love the most.
We make everything fancy. We put on a record, nice dresses and suit coats (at least on top...we've been known to have pajama bottoms on at the same time!).
We make an extravagant dinner with multiple courses and put umbrella's in our drinks. And of course we dance.
We know how to do fancy.

Something changed this year. I'm not sure if it has to do with the various house projects going on, or just run of the mill chaos, but I've stopped carrying my camera quite as much. I love capturing moments but I just don't always think to grab it as I walk out the door.
Instead I rely on my phone camera. A phone that is currently at it's max with storage which limits my ability to take photos.
The issue with phone photos is that they rarely see the light of day. Granted most of them probably shouldn't - case it point the 37 pictures of Grace's feet that I just deleted from the camera roll.
I thought I'd include some of our favorites from the past couple months here. Enjoy!
