Sleepovers

These two ask for sleepovers at least once each week. Sometimes they are mermaids, sometimes they sleep in tents. They always wake up in a tangled mess.

Weekend Visitors

We were lucky enough to spend the weekend with the Wisconsin cousins. They made the drive down Friday evening and we had them all weekend through Monday morning. Pretty low key in all with a shopping trip (with a hat photo op for Grandpa/Uncle Larry), movie night, a (failed) escape room, and lots of laughs.

We at a lot of really great food. And with many eating preferences and allergies in the mix it's always a fun challenge. Tons of fun recipes, new restaurants to try and ice cream night which included no less than 8 different types of pints. Options are always good.

We had a blast hanging out. Love this crew so much.

More Snow

More. Snow.
This is about the time of year where we all just feel like throwing the towel in. We're so tired of the snow, and cold. Tired of cold toes, of scraping windows, of putting layers on.
So today, we're trying to make the best of it. We're at a small sled hill not far from our house. It's the perfect size for the girls and they are having a blast!
After we stopped for a treat and some hot coffee. Mmmmm.

Snow Day

Just hanging out in the snow. Our yard looks like a mogul ski course with giant piles of snow placed sporadically around. Small tunnels are built under and some of them. Cheap fun.

Career Day: G

When you ask a four year old to dress up for career day and tell the class what they would like to be:

Our Kind of Perfect

She's perfection in the most imperfect of ways. She's silly, and curious, and full her own ideas. She's stubborn to a fault and constantly on the search for new ways to do things if it means not taking someone's suggestions. She's creative and resourceful and terrible and looking for things. She's too sensitive to other's thoughts, much like me her mother and can talk to anyone, much like her father.
She's our kind of perfect and we wouldn't change a thing.
